Japanese Knotweed Eradication & Land Remediation

Primary school rebuild costs spiral after Japanese knotweed found

We feel for this poor primary school! Not only was Japanese knotweed found on the site, so too were arsenic and asbestos! Costs of rebuilding a Plumstead primary school have spiralled as a result.

Greenwich Council’s cabinet member for regeneration Councillor Denise Hyland has signed off an extra £2.25m for the work at Foxfield Primary in Sandbach Place – bringing the total cost to £14m.

Full report here.

We wish them all the best for their new school.
